Formerly the highly recommended seafood restaurant "The Lazy Lobster", run by Anne Hughes, it has now been renovated and refurbished to a top quality Bed and Breakfast. Anne guarantees the same high standard of food and professional service in serene surroundings with a warm and relaxed atmosphere. Tea/coffee and juice are on offer on arrival and throughout the day.

The Half Door B&B as the name suggests has a traditional half door fronting a cottage style house, while the inside has been decorated in a modern and contemporary design.

Doolin lost a much needed good restaurant but gained a wonderful place to stay when Anne Hughes closed her Lazy Lobster and turned the premises into this pleasant little inn. The Half Door B&B is many cuts above the B&B standard; The sun-filled lounge is a welcoming place to linger, and the large guest rooms are decorated in a warmly contemporary style, with tasteful fabrics and prints. Several rooms accommodate families or multiple families, and a few units can be combined for extra space and privacy. Anne is on hand with advice about visiting the Burren, the Aran Islands and other nearby attractions, adding much to the appeal of one of the great places to stay in the West.
